The process
For all our writing services.
1 INITIAL CALL
This is a no-string conversation where we figure out what you need and send you an outline of deliverables plus a quote. We’ll only start working on your copy once you’re happy with the scope of work and the deposit has been paid.
2 RESEARCH
We get into the nitty-gritty of what your business is all about. We’ll send you a messaging questionnaire followed by an in-depth briefing call. We’ll then carry out copy audits and do the research – basically, we get to know your brand inside out.
3 PLANNING & WRITING
Now the fun begins. We write the words that will make your business shine so you can get on with what you do best.
5 EDIT AND LAUNCH
You get two rounds of edits and then we do a final proofread before the copy goes live. We’ll then send you our final invoice – and voilà , it’s time to celebrate!

      Salt & Sage is a joint venture between Manfreda’s business, ClaraComms Limited, and Felicity’s business, Haythorn Copy Limited. You’ll be invoiced by one of us (please see our T&Cs of business). Deposit and invoicing — we require full payment upfront for projects up to £400. For projects valued at £401 and above, there’s a 25% project deposit. We won’t start work until this is received. The remainder (75%) is invoiced upon completion. For retainer contracts and projects lasting over four weeks, we invoice monthly in advance.
